Her research focuses on the epistemology, ethics, and politics of human rights, sexual violence, and genocide from a feminist perspective. She has authored books and co-edited several volumes. Her recent essays examine the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran, the politics of disgust, and Japan’s WWII "comfort" stations.
