Debra Davidson

Professor of Environmental Sociology at the University of Alberta. Her work centers on the social dimensions of climate change, with a focus on energy-society dynamics. Her research is published in leading journals like Science and Nature. She contributed as a Lead Author to the IPCC's 5th Assessment Report and serves on UNEP’s Expert Foresight Panel. She also led Prairie Urban Farm (2013-2023) and convenes the university’s Climate Action Coalition.
