Gervase Phillips
Principal Lecturer in History at Manchester Metropolitan University, he is the author of Persecution and Genocide: A History (Routledge, 2025) and The Anglo-Scots Wars, 1513–1550 (Boydell, 1999). His research focuses on conflict between nations, religions, and ideologies, including the role of animals such as horses, pigeons, and dogs in war.
