Maurice Hamington

Professor of Philosophy and Affiliate Faculty of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Portland State University, he specializes in feminist care ethics, with a focus on embodiment, performance, and aesthetics. His latest book, Revolutionary Care: Commitment and Ethos (Routledge 2024), advocates for a care revolution. He is the author of Embodied Care (2004) and co-author of Care Ethics and Poetry (2019). Hamington has also edited several volumes on care ethics, including Feminism and Hospitality (2022) and Care Ethics in the Age of Precarity (2021). More information can be found at mhamington.com.
