Vojislava Filipcevic Cordes
Vojislava Filipcevic Cordes teaches Comparative Urban Policy at Columbia University SIPA and Migrant Policy and the City at Columbia GSAPP. She is an interdisciplinary urban studies scholar whose work develops the paradigm of “ruptured urbanisms,” examining how interventions in the built environment generate social polarization and group segregation. She is also the author of The Politics of Sanctuary, an urban ethnography and theoretical study based on research on sanctuary activism in New York during the first Trump administration.
